Scheduled in-store sales
Plan the sale before the doors open.
Set a date range, choose the products and conditions you want to include, and apply a fixed or percentage discount to matching stock during the scheduled period.
Target the stock you mean to discount.
Choose the dates
Give each sale a start and end date. Prepare the event ahead of time so staff have a clear plan for the promotion.
Choose the products
Target product types, categories and product tags. Use tags to organize the items you want staff to include in a promotion.
Choose the condition and discount
Include a specific condition or all conditions. Set a fixed reduction or a percentage discount for the matching stock.
Build promotions around your store’s needs.
A platform weekend
Choose a game category and a date range for an in-store event. Review the included stock before announcing the offer.
A condition-specific sale
Promote loose copies while keeping complete-in-box stock outside that event. Staff can keep the condition distinction clear at the counter.
A tagged clearance group
Use a product tag to identify a clearance selection, then apply the event’s discount to matching stock. Review the selection as part of your sale preparation.
Set up, check and run the event.
- Name the sale. Give staff a recognizable event name and enable scheduled sale discounts in your settings.
- Define the selection. Choose the product type, categories, tag and condition that fit the offer.
- Set the period and reduction. Enter the start and end dates, then choose a fixed or percentage discount.
- Review matching stock. Check representative items and their sale prices, including any products covered by another event.
- Brief the counter team. Confirm the offer, dates and included conditions before promoting the sale to customers.
For permanent price changes, use the selected-stock repricing tools described on our catalog and inventory page.
Scheduled-sale questions
Can I schedule a percentage discount?
Yes. Events support either a percentage discount or a fixed reduction.
Can a sale cover only one condition?
Yes. Choose a specific condition or all conditions, along with the event’s other product criteria.
What happens if sale rules overlap?
Fulcrum selects the most specifically matching event rather than stacking scheduled discounts. Review overlapping events and test representative items before the sale begins.
Are these Shopify promotions?
This page describes Fulcrum’s in-store scheduled-sale tools. Review online promotions separately. Shopify integration is included with Fulcrum, but that does not make an in-store event a Shopify promotion.
How do scheduled sales fit with loyalty?
Use events to plan an in-store offer and loyalty tools to support repeat visits. Ask us to demonstrate the checkout behavior for the specific offers your store wants to run.
Make your next store event easier to prepare.
Bring a promotion you want to run, and we’ll show how to define the dates and stock selection in Fulcrum. Free migration help is available, with Shopify and Square Terminal integration included.
